"Director of Major Gifts"

EDHAP has an opening in the Vero Beach area for an experienced fundraiser who can promote the image and purpose of the organization. Duties include:

1. Identify and solicit funding from corporations, foundations, and major donors and assist in our annual giving campaign through donations, annual gala and golf tournament.

2. Assist in event management to create, plan, organize, and manage fundraising events.

3. Cultivate and maintain corporate and major donor relationships.

4. Develop budget, goals, and performance measures for the major gifts program, including an online donor strategy.

5. Represent the organization at a variety of community events and functions.

6. Maintain records necessary for compliance and non-profit laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Proven history of successful participation in fundraising endeavors, communications and community outreach programs. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong written and oral communication skills. Grant writing experience a plus.

Flexible days and hours, including weekends and evenings as required, based on need and schedule of events. It is expected that the position will require approximately 20-25 hours per week on average. Salary directly correlates EDHAP's available funding; therefore, it may be necessary to be agreeable to a month to month contract for specified duties.
